HOW WE CAN HELP

What are ways we all can help.

  • Recycle:
a.) Give the clothes that no longer fit to other children who could use them.
b.) Donate used clothes to thrift shops.
  • Repair: Instead of throwing out clothes that have tears or lost buttons have them repaired or patched to extend their usefulness.
  • Repurpose: Examples of repurposing include:
a.) Worn out clothes could be cut and used as rags.
b.) Cut old clothe into squares and used to make a quilt.
c.) The jeans that have the tattered leg, can be cut and made into shorts.
  • Consider shopping at thrift stores. There are often nice clothes that can be purchased for much less money than buying new.
  • Ask the students what are other ways to extend the life of our clothes.
